ANTI-GRAVITY YOGA at BEYOND YOGA

This picture was taken almost a year ago, my first time to try anti-gravity yoga at their High Street branch (I didn't bother to have a picture of the place and their facilities as I wasn't that serious with my blogging yet) by the way, it is suggested to wear sleeves because the hammock can dig into your arms. It got me curious to try this kind of yoga since it was new to me. I like things that are not common, uncommon things are more special - that's just me I guess. If you guys are intimidated to try because you think you have to be flexible or have no yoga background, don't be! They have beginners class. I did ballet for years so it wasn't that hard in terms of stretching... BUT what was challenging though was the hold or poses similar to the regular yoga, you see I live a sedentary lifestyle after the little monster came out and having undergone CS, I have been out of the exercising world a bit too long that my body is not used to these kinds of activity anymore.

Anyway, this anti-gravity yoga uses a silky hammock that supports your body and helps you with inversion. It is also important to have confidence and trust especially being suspended and inverted at the same time. If you're not that game, I don't think you will enjoy this kind of activity. I do suggest you try it though, to be able to enjoy the class has to offer and it's fun! Plus it also has its benefits like spinal decompression, increase strength and flexibility, improve posture and many more. I also love how you can relax just like you are in a cocoon swaying.

Tips:
  • Wear comfortably fit clothes and wear sleeves
  • Come in 10 minutes early for registration and warm up
  • Do not forget to ask clearance from your OB when resuming back to exercising; or any doctor if you underwent any surgery or experiencing vertigo
